OD
Hey!! The main difference between booking directly with the cruiseline and a travel agent is that the travel agent may give you a small bonus in the way of 'on board credit' or a 'free spa treatment' or 'dinner in a specialty restaurant' when booking. This will greatly depend on the type of accomodations and cruise line you choose. The underlying cost of the cruise will be the same at either the cruiseline or travel agent.I actually prefer to book online and have found this easier for me to manage, rather than have a physical travel agent in the middle. For more info you could check out the cruise critic forum (there are both UK and US versions)! Happy Cruising!! I'm off to the cruise the caribbean in 3 weeks time!1 woohooo!!!Hope this helps! OD
hey Jadone21,Yes, I've found it very easy to book online; I have only cruised with Royal Caribbean and their website was very good. Also booked online via American Airlines website and a cruise travel agent to take a Royal Caribbean cruises. Is this your first cruise? If so, then I would strongly suggest that you do quite a bit of reading first, as there are a fair few decisions to make. I can only speak to taking cruises with Royal Caribbean and as someone who travels very regularly there are a few more things to consider before making the final booking. If you want to talk about this more you can PM me and i'll try to help you if I can!ODjadone21 Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Where abouts is baxter hoare val? is that the on> right by sainsburies? :) > OD i have never booked anything like that online> before, is it easy to do? :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/26986-best-place-to-book-a-cruise/#findComment-595558 Share on other sites

OD
I've not booked with them myself, but from reading cruise critic, they come recommended by persons that have used them. As this is your first cruise, please read up first, before booking to undestand exactly what you are getting when you book. You'll need to consider: - The type of cruise you'd like. Each cruiseline offers a different experience. You pay for what you get! - What type of stateroom cabin you'd like and its location in the ship. You pay for what you get! - Which port you'd like to cruise from and the implications of pre-cruise flights and hotels - Port intensive cruise vs. more sea days - Goes without saying; selecting good cruise insurance! - Excursions etc - Traditional dining vs. freestyle/my time diningYou'll have loads of fun planning!!OD Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/26986-best-place-to-book-a-cruise/#findComment-595582 Share on other sites
val
Baxter Hoare Travel agents are behind Borough Market Borough SE1. We have always gone with Princess Cruises not cheap but you get what you pay for the food is fab. As it's your first I would suggest you speak with a travel agent even if you don't book with them. It's a lot of money so you want to get it right.
