For gods sake... Just what we need.

Aren't there 1000s of Elvis impersonators, why is this one special? I do quite a good impression myself - She is watching the detectives, "Ooh, it's so cute", She's watching the detectives, When they shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot

They beat him up until the teardrops start, But he can't be wounded 'cause he's got no heart

Then I go into Steve Nieve doing his organ solo. Wonderful.

Aaron is a much loved local Nunhead hero and lovely young chap.

He's been singing as Elvis around Nunhead for a long time. Recently singing through lockdown to raise money for the Salvation Army. Also the subject and star of a short film and winner of a community award

Often seen singing around Nunhead Station.

Ok, I did google this and watched a few videos of the Nunhead Elvis performing. He?s got something going on, and it?s giving people a lot of pleasure.

His ?Elvis? moves are probably better than his actual ?singing?, but why let that get in the way, as he?s got the track playing anyway, so when he?s gasping for air after a few 1970?s Vegas style Karate moves, the real Elvis is there to take over. In fact Nunheads Elvis probably let?s real Elvis carry him a fair bit, while he gets on with ?channeling? Elvis, with his dancing and moving between the wheelie bins of his make do street stage.

I?d go to watch him if I was in the area, for sure. This kind of act is rare these days, and though he looks a little more Shakin Steven?s than Elvis is no matter. He?s brave and kind enough to raise money for people in need, and good luck with to him.

Elvis lives! and he lives in Nunhead.

Uh huh!

❤❤❤👍

There used to be a Chinese Elvis who regularly performed in a restaurant on the Old Kent Road.

Sadly I never saw him. However I did once spend a memorable (for many reasons) New Year's Eve at an Indian restaurant where there was an Indian Elvis.

It was brilliant 😁

I have in deed seen Chinese Elvis, but some may remember the two Italian restaurants run by feuding family members in Streatham that both had an Elvis Cabaret.

I have NOT been SPAMMING Aaron has raised over ?3702 so far for The Salvation Army in Nunhead who are supplying meals every week for the vulnerable - if you can be bothered to actually visit the group you would soon appreciate that Aaron is not an Elvis Costello impersonator - besides who is?

Yep great what the kid is doing. If you had spent a little more time composing your first post then it would have helped and looked less like click bait.

For fans of the other Elvis I've found some cover versions

I want to a Showaddywaddy (really?) gig many years ago, more of a cabaret act, and when they asked if anyone liked Elvis the crowd cheered. Then they added "Costello", and it went quiet apart from a single cheer from me. For younger readers they covered 50s rock and roll numbers wearing pastel coloured teddy boy outfits. The drummer was not Dion Dublin's dad, but a friend of his.

Ha ha I saw Elvis at La Pergola one Christmas Day long ago 🤣🤣🤣

Had no idea about the feud 🤣🤣🤣

Wouldn't have been my choice - my dad took the whole family - but it was great fun!

    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

Worth contacting her with views on ammendments to the original license. I am fairly sure she won't grant any amendments, but just in case.....
    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
