Vintage French Wine Crate - ?32

Recommended Posts

We have sold our holiday house in France and have brought back all our possessions. We haven't got the room here in London to keep them so we are slowly selling them all.

I genuinely found this aged vintage wooden French bottle carrier in our barn. It?s had a good clean but is still very much in its original? vintage bare wooden state ? stylish, retro and so original. Stencilled Brand - " R. Moreau ".?

There may be a few characterful woodworm holes, but the carrier has been properly treated.

Holds 10 bottles.

Sizes are 21 ins (53cm) long x 9 ins (23cm) wide x 13 ins (33cm) high.

Location: Southern end of SE22, Close to Wood Vale / Langton Rise.

If you don?t have a car I could deliver locally.

    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
