Spartacus
There has been an announcement that over ?800 million has been either granted or provisionally granted to high streets to bounce back. The old Kent Road, an area that was earmarked for massive regeneration and house building, received ?9.6 million.https://www.gov.uk/government/news/830-million-funding-boost-for-high-streetsIs this the right area for Southwark to be focusing on now that the additional funding from the tube expansion has evaporated ? Or should they have looked at diverting the funds towards struggling town centres like Peckham that are crying our for improvements in facilities ? KidKruger
Spartacus - what improvements in facilities does peckham require in your opinion (I?m assuming you mean rye lane shopping area, pls correct me if mistaken) ?Personally I like the whole Rye Lane vibe and prefer the relaxed scene there, when compared to (say) LL !!
