I have some money from last year's advent calendar which was meant to buy presents for the collection at church. We missed the collection so I thought I might get the kids to donate the funds online to a charity to help them get the concept that not all kids in the world are as comfortable as they are. But when I look online, a lot of the resources (videos etc) are aimed at the heart strings of adults and a bit too full on for sensitive kids.

Does anyone know of any good sites which explain the issues in a child friendly way (kids are 4 and 6)? I've tried broaching it but I think seeing a video or something would work better.

They even have a Christmas list and your family can choose which items to buy to support children and families in need this Christmas, many of whom live 10 mins away from us

    • Oh yes, it could have been about there, I can't remember exactly. At one point there seemed to be a load of pizza places opening on NCR. I vaguely remember the one we used to use was put out of business by another one which opened. Wasn't Grace and Favour's food offering more of a tea shop at the back of the actual shop? If memory serves the owner, whose name escapes me now, was one of the earliest people I know to move to Hastings. Which must now be crammed with South East Londoners 🤣
