TV reception..

Hello!

I recently moved to ED (Landcroft Rd) and have noticed that, despite being so close to the Crystal Palace transmitter, I've been unable to get good TV reception through our outdoor aerial or a since-purchased-and-fobbed-off indoor one (this ? one of those black flat things https://www.geargeek.co.uk/hd-indoor-antenna-aerial-50-mile-amplified/).

I was wondering if being so close is actually an issue and whether there's a tried-and-tested aerial that somebody nearby could recommend for indoors?
