Laptops, iPads and Tablets.

Hi, I had two laptops which I was going to throw out. I saw the news last night saying that there are a huge number of school children whose family?s can?t afford a laptop and therefore are struggling to learn from home. I contacted a friend of mine who is a teacher and she confirmed this upsetting fact.

I donated two of my laptops that I wasn?t using.

If anyone has an old iPad or laptop that they would like to donate, please, please contact me and I will put you in touch with a school in need.

So far I have received and given 18 devices to schools who have children in need from disadvantaged families.

If you don?t have an old device but still want to help, I am trying to raise money to buy 15 laptops for children who are in need.

This is the crowd funding link:

Many thanks in advance

Hi, I was working in hospitality but had to self isolate in March due to receiving chemotherapy twice and year and because of the daily medications I take. I would love to work from home and do some educational courses but I do not have a laptop. If anybody has a laptop/MacBook to donate to a clinically vulnerable disabled woman please message me. If you cannot afford to donate but wouldn?t mind helping. We could we come together for a monthly instalments plan. Please inbox me. Thanks for reading

    • I was so sick of being ghosted by tradespeople, but contacted Hussein on the advice of a neighbour.  I'm so glad I did. They did a great job, were communicative, started and finished exactly when they said they would and were really tidy and respectful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and great value painter.
    • I think for the English, turtles are salt-water (sea) beasts whereas terrapins are fresh water, but I know e.g. Americans use 'turtle' for all chelonians including tortoises.
    • They're turtle-y different.  😉 They hibernate, burying themselves under mud or at the bottom of the pond. There have been regular sightings in there (and in Dulwich Park) for years and terrapins can live for 15-20 years in the wild, 30+ years in captivity. They are however an invasive species - whether or not the RSPCA or a local wildlife charity would come out to try and trap / remove them is another matter.
    • Hmm they seem to disappear in the winter - and there are some who say that terrapins are a kind of turtle.
