And then of course there is this

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2022/01/27/rishi-sunak-fighting-hard-stop-invoking-article-16-claim-boris/

The internal hysteria of the tory party playing out at cost to everyone - If only it was confined to Leavers. But Remainers and other countries pay the price too

But it's this thread and people like me that are "toxic"

Desperate stuff. All this damage for? nothing

Of course I am just an unintelligent poster on a local forum - smarter people than me, who have planned for leaving the eu for years and years will have loads of concrete, actual benefits. Any day now

In the meantime. This national insurance rise coming in a few months to find the nhs. Is that on top of or instead of the 350 million a week?

More scooby snacks anyone?

I read these stories (and I know stories like this in my own life too) and I refuse to believe me calling this nonsense out makes me the toxic one. I simply refuse to be gaslit by people like Cat calling me toxic.

It's the two year 'anniversary' of leaving the EU today...I expect most of the Tory MPs would have had a coordinated social media blitz irrespective of the need to draw attention away from other troubles...

You?ll be in the minority here, but I?ve a Cath Kidston pitchfork ready for the likes of you anyways.

Panic over boys and girls, Jacob Rees-Mogg has just been made Minister for Brexit Opportunities.

It was a close call between that and Minister for Making Cups of Tea as to which portfolio offered the most scope for a politician of JRM's standing...

It does sound like a made up title to give to someone to make them feel important.

Surely this work is covered by people in other roles including the "Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade" but I could just be naive

    • It may be worth consulting your vet. If she's diabetic & on medication, she will have missed 1-2 doses. It's a relief to hear that she's home, & I hope she makes a speedy recovery.
    • The swimming lessons at JAGS Sportsclub are very popular, and the gym there might meet your needs. Southwark took over running its leisure centres from everyone active a while back and so far seems to be making a real mess of things. There’s lots of private gyms and other council ones in Lewisham and Lambeth so depending on exactly where you’re going to be you can look at those. JAGS and Dulwich College both have sports clubs with nice facilities, but you can’t use them during the school day. Check their sites for details.

What amazes me is the similarity in every way to Gala - large areas annexed but the council trying to convince everyone it's only a tiny part of the park. Claiming that the flora & fauna is being protected when the reality is a tick-box environmental survey that's not worth the paper it's written on. All very depressing.
    • Miatta Fahnbulleh MP House Of Commons LONDON SW1A 0AA 185 Farringdon Road London EC1A 1AA www.royalmail.com Dear Ms Fahnbulleh Chadwick Road, LONDON SE15 4PY Thank you for your communication regarding mail deliveries to addresses on Chadwick Road. Delivering a reliable service is our top priority, and I am very sorry that your constituent has cause for concern. I am always disappointed when I hear that any of our customers do not feel that they are receiving the service that they ought to. Following your communication, I contacted the Customer Operations Manager at Peckham Delivery Office. They have advised me that there are no current issues with the delivery of mail to addresses on Chadwick Road. They have confirmed that mail deliveries are taking place six days a week, when there is mail available to be delivered, and I am assured that there is no mail currently awaiting delivery. If at any point a delivery round cannot be completed on a particular day, for example we may have a shortage of staff, the unit will ensure that the address will become the priority the following working day. I hope that this reply is helpful. As always if we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. Yours sincerely Michael Hogg Senior Public Affairs Manager   This was the reply the MP sent me regarding lack of post.
