We have a BT 150 monitor, which we still use for our toddler for naps and at bedtime. Our second is due in March and will be sleeping in our room for the first 6 months or so, so will need a second monitor. As we are happy with the BT 150 we would like to get the same brand/model, if poss.

My question is: does anyone know whether having two will result in interference/cancellation of the signal if used simultaneously e.g.:

- the parent end picking up/missing signals from one or both monitors

- trying to turn on the music for my toddler from the parent end and inadvertently turning on the music in the baby room and waking baby up?

We can't really do without the monitor, as we won't hear either child from the living room with the door closed, plus found the ability to turn on the music from the parent end invaluable in sleep training.

Thanks in advance!

We had the same issue when our second child arrived a couple of months ago. I picked up a second hand BT100 because I wanted something that wasn't exactly the same, but operated in a similar way. I didn't want to get another BT150 because of possible interference, but also cos it's handy to be able to immediately and easily tell which monitor is for which child. We use the BT100 for our three year old's room, and the BT150 for our new baby - the main difference as far as I can tell is that the BT100 doesn't have the room temperature feature.

    • Let's not forget this is the lowest level of local politics. If McCash really thought his defection could trash the Labour Party nationally, and it was loaded with invective and exhibitionism, then that's pretty much the definition of a "hissy fit"! Scooping the Green nomination for DaWN constituency is also going to be a lot harder for a Marxist arriviste than you suggest. There may be a wave of new, younger Polanski-ites that have joined the Green Party of E&W recently, but it's the long-standing, often retired members of the Party that tend to participate in candidate interview panels and bother voting in selections...
    • They've had 26 years or so of trading, and if anyone deserves decent retirement... In my view they're going out at the top. It's clearly being sold, assuming it all goes through as a very more more than just a going concern.

    • Both your hopes will be fine, I think. Our waitress will stay on. The downstairs is getting refurbished, and the bar area enlarged, presumably by removing that awkward little 'lobby' by the loos.
