Hello East Dulwich residents,

Putting out a somewhat urgent call to the neighbourhood for a new place to live.

Sadly our current rented flat here in ED has started taking on water and so we must sadly abandon ship.

We are a young, professional, married couple, both women - who come with two small (very well behaved) cats.

We?ve been visiting the area since childhood and have been lucky enough to live here for the last 7 years. We miraculously found our current flat right here on the forum - so hoping the EDF gods are kind again.

Thank you so much for any responses and we?ll of course also look through the wonderful postings already here.

A quick summary for ease:

Residents: Two women early 30s - one works full time in the charity sector for a major NGO and the other is a cultural consultant.

Pets: Two (well trained) house cats

Term: Long Term (12 months+)

Bedrooms: 1 but ideally 2

Rent: Budget of ?1,300 a month

Deposit: We can provide a deposit

Garden: We?d love a garden and would ideally like a minimum of a balcony.

References: We can both provide a number of professional and personal references including from other ED residents if desired. We?ve been renting in London for over 10 years and are proud of the fact we?ve never let a landlord down.

We look forward to hearing from you and we hope you?re keeping safe.

Best, J&A

    • What ever they decide I would have thought that the skate park would not be staying but really hope I am wrong as in my minds eye, I see the skate park as potential parking spaces after all if it is going to be community, flats, retail units, cafe, etc folks are going to want to have the parking availability - Amir like the parade of shops opposite. if the skate park goes then I think it is Dulwich Estate obligation to find another suitable area… a lot of community spirit and hard work went into developing the skate park and the youngsters should be very proud of what they have done  and achieved.
    • Hi all My car was stolen between 1.30pm-1.50pm today in SE22 East Dulwich in South East London. I have of course reported this to the police but not much is being done, so I thought I'd give this a shot. The registration is GM66YOV, though its possible the licence plate may have been changed by now. If you see it anywhere please contact me or the police. Thankyou!
    • Years ago, got my ears pierced, alcohol on site, gun ..done.. Simple.. Gosh, surely your daughter of mothers can recommend  - do you really need to post on forum? Or maybe you home school whatever.. still recovering from shock, posted along the lines of, advice needed about adopting/ buying a dog…. Guess I am now at a age, where I should just keep quiet and pass no comment and read  postings like a “soap” - cheaper than tv licence…
