Hi All, I started learning the piano with Roksana last March and although I only had 3 lessons with her f2f before lockdown struck, I decided to carry on virtually. I played very briefly for less than a year when I was at school and I am now 29, and very much a beginner. Roksana has taught many students like me who perhaps had little to none when it came to experience learning the piano. However, I am also aware that many experienced pianists approach her to continue learning. She adapts her teaching style to the student while ensuring their learning is chronological and no bad habits are adopted. Learning the piano during the pandemic has given me a real sense of purpose and in spite of not having regular f2f lessons I am hoping to sit my grade 2 exam in the coming months. This is testament to Roksana's teaching. It also helps that she is very personable and I look forward to our lessons and Roksana's upbeat attitude that keeps me motivated.

    • There  is a dance fit class at Harris girls on a Monday evening 630 pm which I have been going to for years . It is an inclusive class  with a wide range of ages.    The  teacher is Fi and she is amazing and  the classes are lots of fun.   look on the web justdanceuk .com. There are other dance classes  (flowetic )that Fi and the lovely Lizzie runs  at Harris girls too . They also have an event next week which is a bit further- near Penge  which is a day of dance to include  just dance fit, dancehall, line dancing, garage fit and flowetic . Which is also available to book on that website  ( look at the events section) .
    • that’s just been misused first by Faraz and then Starmer. It’s evocative and negative.  But it’s flooding the news today.
    • I didn't realise that either! I thought it just meant division within communities - religious, racial or otherwise.  Yes, it is frightening. The days of the broad church political party are over.
    • So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
