I love this area for the hills, and keeping my beloved city in view during lockdown.

I discovered the golf club view by accident, now I get there regularly. Waiting for the mud to clear from Sydenham woods and I can discover a different way home.

Can recommend Blythe Hill Fields from our recent walking excursions, also a good walk up to the Peabody Estae above Rosendale Road. We actually walked to the Rookery Garden in Streatham the other day (bit of a hike but got to see something different)!

Thank you for those! I watched the next one as well (Upper Norwood and Crystal Palace).

Very interesting!

I love The Rookery!

There's a nice little cafe there (when it's open) and also a mini brewery near the community garden there.

Keep your eye on the road though, rather than admiring the view! Canobie is a right XXXX to cycle up. Others agree https://www.broleur.com/top-ten-toughest-cycling-climbs-london-bergs/ When I first walked around the area it was a hidden gem. Still a gem but no longer hidden

    • Walking around, it looks to me as if weedkiller has been used, as some weeds have been left in situ but are dead. However, most of the weeds which have been (apparently)  killed in this way are hardly likely to lift pavements, being things like Shepherd's Purse. They might seed around, but I'm not sure what harm that does. I would like to know exactly what is the remit of the council workers who are tasked with dealing with weeds in pavements (and in tree pits?). Things like dandelions which have taproots (but are hard to remove in one piece)  have been left in the pavement,  whereas things like Toadflax (which don't, and are easy to just pull out) have been removed.
    • Yet another recommendation for Casper the  handyman.   He recently completed some odd jobs around our house including installing curtain rails and hanging pictures.  He offered practical solutions to the issues that arose, was efficient and communicative.  Very reasonable rates. We’ll be using his services again and have recommended to family & friends.

    • The seller hasn't been named on here, and it isn't clear that it was a genuine misunderstanding, given the contents of the OP. Maybe it should be left as a warning to others to try things out before you take them home. Or indeed before you sell them. If  something seems wrong, it probably is. It shouldn't have taken a public post to resolve things . Also, if the laptop actually belongs to a company, it wasn't the seller's to sell, regardless of how he obtained it.
