Glimpsed a new red sign at the top of the road. Wasn?t in a position to stop the car at the main interchange to read it - anyone know what it says/means. Glimpsed no entry - so this means the park becomes available only to those who live near to it? It just gets better snd better doesn?t it.

It isn't obvious to me from that sign that you can drive down Eynella Rd - the timed restrictions surely don't apply to Court Lane.

I remember the council were proposing to make Eynella Rd 'no entry' from the Barry Rd direction. This crossroads is much used by schoolchildren from St Anthony's and children using the children's library, so it seems to me that, regardless of Court Lane being a no through road ahead, it's where the sign has been placed that the timed restrictions apply.

I quite agree that the sign is not clear, as no-one seems to know what it really means.

Well, they're perfectly obvious if you slam on the brakes and stop right in the middle of the road, reverse a couple of yards over a cyclist and give the finger to the BMW driver hooting at you while you read a sign that must be Southwark Council's entry for the Booker Prize....
  • 2 months later...

Just entered Eynella from the other side of the junction at Barry Rd, first time I?d seen the signs (not been there for ages so didn?t know there?d be a dog there).

The sign alarmed me as I drove across (couldn?t see sign beforehand because I was behind a large lorry) but basic logic in my head said ?well, I?m not ACTUALLY going ?through? to anywhere and that?ll have to be my argument in court?.

Relieved to discover that there is probably not a penalty due, but Jesus Christ give us a chance and try putting relevant and well worded signs up (if they are, after all, supposed to be ?advising? drivers).

    • Warning to parents using the playground in Dulwich Park. My daughter and her friends found a bag of ‘crunchy powder’ in the children’s playground this morning around 11ish. They thought it was ‘popping candy’ and all tried some before seen with it. Request to parents using the playground - if you see plastics bags with suspect looking contents or powder on the floor in the playground or park: pick it up and throw it in the bin. Don’t walk past and think someone else will deal with it. The next person to walk by might be a child who could pick it up not understanding what it could be. Hopefully our daughter and her friends will be ok and it’s a lucky escape. But please be aware in case anyone else’s child may have found it before them.
    • I’m looking for some ply sheets, ideally 9mm or 12mm. It doesn’t have to look good. As long as it’s not rotten it’ll be fine. I’d like bigger sheets, but I’m open to whatever anyone’s got. If you can help, drop me a DM.  Cheers
    • the only known name is from that poster in the window where it says to email [email protected]. I thought that website might shed some light on who is creating the posters I hope whoever was attacked is doing ok, but agree there is something very off/vigilante-ish about all of this
    • Sorry to be dim, but where has that link come from and why is it relevant to this thread? I'm not doubting you, just wondering if I've missed something above!
