Penguin68
I ordered dog food and instead got cat foodBoth are small domestic carnivores - unless it's dry cat food that you've got (or a very large dog) then your dog will probably happily eat it - particularly if he thinks the cat illustration on the tin is an indication of content! MrsR
Celia Hammond Animal Trust in Lewisham or Foal Farm will take it, I'm sure. I'll take it to them if you contact me. oliviaandmilo
It's not advisable to feed dogs cat food. The imbalance of proteins and fats can play havoc with a dog's stomach Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/278560-free-bag-of-cat-food-ordered-by-mistake/#findComment-1494384 Share on other sites

Definitely don't give cat food to a dog. Cat food has a higher protein and fat content and could give your dog diarrhoea, upset stomach or worse case pancreatitis. As other have suggested Celia Hammond or FOAL Farm cat rescues would more than appreciate it.
