On Saturday night/Sunday Morning I was woken by a loud voices. On looking out of the window I could see a group of lads messing around and sitting on the floor by the cars. I lifted the blinds and turned the light on as I though this might make them move off if they saw me. They obviously did not as they moved across the road next to my car by this time there was only two of them. The first crouched down by the boot the second one was by the front. I watched for a little to try and see what they were doing. After looking around (but not looking up so they did not see me) they moved towards the drivers door and started looking in through the window and then pulled the door handle. At this point I opened the window and told them to F-off which they did. I have reported this to the police and have let my neighbors know so we can all be a little more aware.

I saw 3 young guys looked like teenagers a few months ago doing the same thing in Barry road they went into my neighbours driveway and was trying the doors on his car and I had just parked up as got home from work around 6am when i got out of the car they ran off

I walked back a bit from where they had come from and there was a car door open and bits on passenger seat and one with a broken window.

So maybe the same people.

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
    • That is also a Young's pub, like The Cherry Tree. However fantastic the menu looks, you might want to ask exactly who will cook the food on the day, and how. Also, if  there is Christmas pudding on the menu, you might want to ask how that will be cooked, and whether it will look and/or taste anything like the Christmas puddings you have had in the past.
