if your not registered with a GP. will you still get a vaccination notification. how are they identifying eligibility.

Good Question, I got mine a minute ago by text.

I quote: "Your phone number has been obtained from your GP records"

and then on the booking site

"You also need to be registered with a GP surgery in England to use this service. You can register with a GP if you do not have one."

You can sign up for a vaccination appointment direct on the government website if you are eligible (and it will tell you if you are eligible) - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/coronavirus-vaccine/ but you do need an NHS number.

letter today with same information as the text yesterday - strangely also a text from the GPs surgery asking me to get a blood pressure test - totally coincidental - or maybe my records were at the back of the drawer and I've been noticed :)

I don't think your NHS number is essential - They do ask if you have it but if you don't then they do it by name and date of birth....

From today - anyone aged 45 or over can book a vaccination direct via the NHS. Most of the available centres are around 2 miles away from ED but there is lots of availability.
