Wise people of the forum...

My first baby ate like an actual horse, so I have no idea what to do with my second one who's a bit of a picker.

She's about to turn one, and I would normally switch to cow's milk soon, but some days she doesn't fancy eating solids and seems to need the milk. I'm assuming formula has loads of extra stuff that makes up for the lack of real food, so should I leave the cow's milk for now?

She's been bottle-fed since 10 months and tends to go for one more bottle than I'd expect at this age...

Hi Verds

Although cows milk is fine from 1 years old. As your daughter is not eating much you could combine formula and cows milk until her appetite picks up and also as oimissus suggested cut down her milk intake to encourage her to eat more.

Good luck with it all :)

Thanks, that's very helpful. I have tried to cut down on the milk and offer solids instead, but we're going through an early waking stage, so I'm scared to give less milk in case it encourages her to wake up hungry. I think more solids would help solve it though.

    • Had to Google ginnel and forgot where COI was.  It's the Windsor Castle formerly known as the Cardinal.  Like Many Sam Smiths pubs a wonderful grand Victorian place.  I won't comment on the beer and post COVID prices rose to catch up with the going rate.  As a spoof thread it has turned into something useful.  I was sad when the Paviours went, an Art Deco New York interior/Savoy Hotel that should have been listened and the Old Rose, turned into new offices/flats.  The Laughing Halibut remains but the Grafton has shed all its Goons' memorabilia.  Still like the Speaker even post Dennis the ebullient former manager.
    • Please call 07484176587 or 07585062664 if you think you might’ve spotted our boy! We live near Goose Green but he may have wandered further than he normally does.  Hasn’t come home since Friday morning, very unusual as Monty usually checks in often throughout the day and has never stayed out all night. He is chipped and neutered. Please check sheds and garages in case he’s stuck!  Thank you!
    • The thing is, Sue, we'd ordered from the kids' menu, so we thought it was okay to have kids in there. He also wouldn't give me a spoon to finish the beans because we hadn't ordered a sweet. Decent quiz on Sunday nights, though.   I wonder if you can help me here. There's a really good pub around there, the name of which I've been trying to remember for ages. It's down a ginnel, quite difficult to find if you don't know where it is. I realise that's not a lot to go on, but it's been driving me mad for years. I can't even remember whether it was closer to Channel 4 or the old Central Office of Information.
    • The cormorant was somewhere in the water, I think I spotted it from the bridge. Yes blackbird song is incredible, they seem to be very active around dusk
