Men's road bike: Cannondale CAAD12 105 - 56cm

Recommended Posts

I'm selling my much loved Cannondale CAAD12 105 road bike - selling because I now need something to stick a child seat on the back!

This is a really fantastic road bike, comfortable and fast. It was BikeRadar's bike of the year in 2016, when they said: "A shining example of how good an alloy road bike can be". Link here: https://www.bikeradar.com/reviews/bikes/road-bikes/cannondale-caad12-105-review/

Perfect time to buy yourself an awesome road bike in time for the Spring sunshine! This bike has been kept inside since I bought it in 2016. RRP at the time was ?1300.

Price: ?650 ONO

Size: 56cm - Large (I am 6'3'' but deliberately chose a bike on the small side)

The bike is in very good used condition. The rear derailleur and casette have been replaced since new, and it comes with Shimano 105 clipless pedals. More details on spec included at the bottom.

There is a very small ding in the top tube (tried to show with photos, it is quite hard to photograph but I wanted to point this out. I had it checked out by Vaidas Cycles in Honor Oak Park who confirmed it in no way affects the performance).

There are some other minor cosmetic marks (e.g. handlebar tape wear) that you'd expect with a bike of this age.

A few photos included here but message me for more if you'd like.

I'm based in SE23 - feel free to come and check it out whenever.

    • There’s got to be something else happening in ED to stop this now very dull thread.
    • I think the East Dulwich one was one of the first ones after Brixton? It was very exciting when it first opened here, but yes they are all over the place now.
    • I see some possibly overloaded grandparents, with mobility issues, trying to help their overloaded daughter. They put some feelers out in anticipation of having to look after their grandson who, it seems, it extraordinarily smart and requires extra stimulation. A big ask all round. That they weren't yet aware of exact dates hardly warrants your complaints of time-wasting.
    • The shops selling gifts, interior stuff and clothes all sell different gifts, interiors stuff and clothes. They don't all have identical items, which would be ridiculous. It's a  completely different situation. The coffee shops and restaurants mostly also have different vibes, different food etc and cater to different tastes and pockets. The two empanada places have virtually identical displays of identical looking empanadas. I don't think anyone has suggested this move is "malicious" - that would make it even worse. Cheeky, yes, given the proximity to the first shop. I agree this is good advertising, though most people in ED probably don't look at the ED Forum (I stand to be corrected). Re the "organic grocer", if it's the one on the same side as Chango, yes their snacks are very tasty.  Unfortunately we were short changed there on several occasions when calling in late at night, and were once asked  a ridiculous price for a few items (with no price tickets on the snacks) so we don't go there any more. Hopefully these were all genuine mistakes, and hopefully things have improved since their refurb.
