Online Charity Pub Quiz - Wednesday 7 April @ 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Local charity Link Age Southwark are hosting their online pub quiz on Wednesday 7 April at 7.30pm via Facebook Live.

As we move towards brighter times and the easing of restrictions, it won't be long before pubs re-open and in-person quizzing commences once again. For now, we are delighted to have our favourite online quiz master, Andrew, back hosting another fantastic live quiz!

The quiz will be broadcast live from our Facebook page on Wednesday 7 April at 7.30pm. Follow our page to participate on the night and find the event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/3269398353160174. Play along with those at home, or with a team using Zoom.

As always it's free to take part, we just ask participants to consider making a ?5 donation per team and support our work to keep older people and people living with dementia connected with their communities. We, along with our amazing volunteers, are working hard to continue providing our services during the pandemic, including telephone befriending, online activity groups, and food shopping deliveries.

It talks to the couple who ran SNARL, and provides something of their account of how the project began, developed and ended, and the effect it had on their lives then and subsequently.   https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002j5nr

    • Hi all, it’s been a while since I last posted so I thought I’d provide a quick update on what we now can offer. Alongside the usual bespoke joinery (wardrobes, bookcases, alcove units etc), I’m now also working with a wider range of veneered boards (ash, maple, walnut, etc.) as well as fluted/reeded panels for anyone after a more textured, high-end finish. I’ve also been adding more lighting options to my fitted furniture – warm white LED strips with sensors or remote controls, ideal for wardrobes and bookcases. They make a huge difference once fitted and really elevate a space. If you’re planning a project and would like to explore these options, please feel free to get in touch.
