Where can I recycle used Christmas cards?

Does anyone know which charities are collecting used Christmas cards? There used to be bins where you could deposit these, and now nothing seems to be listed around East Dulwich. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

My understanding was that charities have to pay the local council for bin space. Many charities it seems can no longer afford this. There used to be some great local charity bins for recycling clothing, including shoes. Sadly, I've recently noticed these are no longer there. My local council (I'm in Lewisham) is now recycling clothing, but it only goes for scrap. I imagine the scenario is similar for other charity recycling bins.

I tried Sainburys and they stopped their collection on 15th January, and suggested using their normal recycle bins for card, paper, etc. Seems a shame that someone cannot do something creative with them.

Oh, I was in Sainsbury's in Finsbury Park last night and they still had the collection box out.

Could try a school - we used to cut them up and make collages.

Why not just send to your friends who are keen on recycling for Birthdays etc they would be delighted.
