Hall/Kitchen Make-Over Needed

Our hall and kitchen are in dire need of a make-over. They are more shabby than chic...We'd like to have the aertex ceiling replaced with a smooth finish, chipped/cracked plaster smartened up, exposed wiring concealed and a fresh paint job etc etc. Recognise this might involve more than one tradesman but grateful for any recommendations/expertise. Thanks!
