Has anyone had experience of kids going swimming recently?

All the family slots seem to be booked and i'm wondering whether its worth it as it's all lane swimming so no chance of 12 year old fun!

Can never get through to the lido, think its the same scenario.

Anyone know the score on bigger boys going swimming in post pandemic times?

I contacted Everyone Active to ask for more family slots (to take kids swimming at the weekend). They just said they can?t fit everyone in, and suggested other areas instead!

I wonder if they make less money during Family slots - but they can?t go at all during all the school hours.

Betty orange - They can use the public swimming sessions too. These are not lane swimming sessions and probably better for bigger kids than the family session which tend to be toddlers, babies and younger kids.

There?s also Camberwell, Peckham Pulse and The Castle Centre at the Elephant they could use and which might have public sessions at different times. The easiest way to check and book is via the everyone active app.

Finally there?s also Forest Hill.

All of them easy to get to on buses from lordship lane.

    • Thanks so much I’ll try that too… might still try getting hold of an air purifier as well if at all possible - want to try cover all bases!
    • The 185 is often the same. But that's why buses sometimes (and annoyingly) stop to "regulate the service". To be fair, it's often due to traffic conditions. If there is not much traffic, the one behind catches up with the one in front.
    • I imagine this is because of the average  additional time involved, due to the styles. You could have asked the reason? I will ask, next time I'm in there.  Many salons have this differential pricing.
    • Maybe a humidifier, or bowl of water near her bed might help. Sometimes dry air can cause a sore throat
