Puppysitting/ doggy daycare - advice please?

We are new pet owners with a gorgeous 3 month old bichon frise. He's doing very very well with training, and a very happy chap. We are home with him all the time at the mo, but need to go to a local funeral next week and can't leave him on his own for the 2 - 3 hours that we'll be gone, as he's only been left for the odd hour at the most, so far.

Can anyone recommend the best way of handling this - do we need doggy daycare?
