Criteria for Kingsdale School

Hello, we?re starting to look at potential secondary schools for our son and we really like the look and ethos of the Kingsdale School and wondered how they assessed applications beyond the standard criteria given they don?t operate a catchment. Our son is very creative and learning the trumpet and piano, but not currently doing grades. Does anyone have recent experience of what the school recognises as non formal musical learning and what else might they be looking for. He isn?t sporting!
