Suggestions for accounting software please

I want something to allow me to do the books for a small limited company which can also produce Annual Accounts. Something that's sort of idiot proof. Any suggestions please?

My other half has a small limited company and after years of More accounting software

Which she much prefers

That being said, QuickBooks is cloud based, whereas More is in insulated program on Windows - which can be a dealbreaker for some people

(personally every time I looked at More, it looked like a VBA program from 1997, but that's just me. Maybe it's been upgraded since)

The two that most of my friends use are Freeagent or Xero.

I switched from Kash Flow to Xero, and Xero is so much better
