FREE Classical Music Course May Half Term

Recommended Posts

South London Strings is a community music group which provides free of charge classical music holiday courses for primary school aged children in Southwark, Lewisham and Lambeth. It is suitable for children who play violin, cello, viola or double bass at any level, even complete beginners!

We have classes in solfeggio, music theory, composition, musical appreciation and the children are put into string quartets to work with professional musicians on classical repertoire.

The dates are 1st-3rd June 10am-2pm with a concert live-streamed on the final day at 12.30. The course will take place in person at the Foundry SE11 5RR

    • Another recommendation for Adam on the Dartmouth Road. Have been going there for years. I will never go anywhere else (unless I move home to somewhere far away!) No faff, very reasonal price and nice atmosphere 👍
    • Thanks so much I’ll try that too… might still try getting hold of an air purifier as well if at all possible - want to try cover all bases!
    • The 185 is often the same. But that's why buses sometimes (and annoyingly) stop to "regulate the service". To be fair, it's often due to traffic conditions. If there is not much traffic, the one behind catches up with the one in front.
    • I imagine this is because of the average  additional time involved, due to the styles. You could have asked the reason? I will ask, next time I'm in there.  Many salons have this differential pricing.
