Recorder and music theory lessons (free trial)

Recommended Posts

Hello prospective students,

I'm an experienced, friendly recorder player and teacher with over 10 years experience and a degree from the Royal Academy of Music offering online recorder lessons with a view to being in person soon when safe. I offer a free trial lesson!

I have a few students in East dulwich currently working towards their grade 3 and 5 exams (ABRSM) and have taught a few others in the area music theory. Please look at my website for further details on what I offer. I teach all ages and abilities and all different sizes of recorders. Please don't hesitate to ask my any questions and I look forward to speaking with you.

testimonials:

"James has taught recorder and music theory to my daughter for 4 years. He has the most fantastic way of teaching that makes her want to work really hard for him. She adores her lessons with James and also gets consistently high grades in her exams. I highly recommend James. He?s a professional, passionate teacher." Emma, parent

"I always learn something new from each lesson with James and feel encouraged to learn more. I would highly recommend him as a recorder teacher.? Helen, student

?James is great! His lessons are fun and engaging and as a player he really knows his stuff. Couldn't recommend him highly enough.? Catherine, student

    • I give away a lot of cuttings but always short of the above, any ideas please?
    • Ash tree branch. Before speculating as to cause and whether it was deliberate or not, it’s worth remembering that there is ash dieback around. Also tree branches fall off without warning, especially if there’s internal rot or disease which is not outwardly apparent. And yes, there are regular checks done on the health of the trees in the Wood.
    • Dulwich folk well particularly ED folk have more money than certainly me - £4.00 for bread and butter? That is outrageous and I certainly would not pay £30 for an organic chicken - weird one is pate and runner beans combo. Don’t think butcher on Lordship Lane charges that but each to their own - live in Devon now and no way is an organic chicken that price!!
    • I was sitting on the park bench yesterday opposite north Dulwich station and found an Apple Watch hanging off the corner. I have brought it home and charged it hoping that someone might use ‘find my’ to locate it. Equally happy to be contacted this way to return it to the rightful lender / they just need to say what colour/kind of strap it has. If you can think of a better way to return it / find its owner then please advise. And/or feel free to share on other local fora.
