Recommended Bathroom Fitter

Recommended Posts

Hello, I?m looking for recommendations for a really good and reliable Bathroom Fitter who can replace a standalone shower tray and surrounds. I?ve contacted so many people to come and look at the work I need doing and they either don?t reply or don?t turn up to carry out the quote..... I know all the good people are booked up after Lockdown restrictions were lifted... surely there must be someone who can help?! I will be really grateful for any recommendations.

    • You have to use the right extinguisher for the type of fire - water/foam not to be used for live electrical fires for example. A quick Google says powder extinguishers can be used on the most different types of fire. In a public/commercial setting fire extinguishers have to be serviced every year. Not sure the recommendation for residential ones, but when you buy extinguishers and fire blankets check if there's an expiry date.
    • Thanks, yes I need the y piece for the water to go to IN both washing machine AND the dishwasher but the y piece doesn’t fit on the B yellow pipe…  I’m not worried about the waste pipe for now, I’m just concerned about the supply to get water in to both appliances
    • Not sure about the word “input” - do you mean outflow / waste ? Red figure A looks like the sink overflow. If B is the washing machine outflow then that’s where you want your Y fitting. ( assuming all above conjecture is correct). I’d put a cap on that chrome threaded dead connection too. Don’t just rely on the valve. It all looks a bit of a mess TBH 🫣.
