Start/finish Park Life Caf?, Burgess Park, off Albany St, SE5 0RJ.Route: Out over Blackfriars Bridge, back via Westminster Bridge.Ride through Bloomsbury, Marylebone and Hyde Park on a flat 13 mile route. Some sections on bigger roads but lots of quiet streets, cycle lanes and paths. Notable sites: Lincolns Inn, P.O.Tower, Wellington Arch (Hyde Park Corner), Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Lambeth Walk (anyone know the song?). 13 miles, pretty much flat. Greenwich to Olympic Park

Flat 15 mile circuit with a cable car ride to make it interesting. 10am ? 1.30pm. Start/finish at Cutty Sark, next to the Foot Tunnel, SE10 9HT. Out along Thames Path past the O2 and on to the Emirates Airline.Remember to bring face mask and travel pass or card (passengers pay, bikes go free). Surprisingly easy to put a bike on the cable car. North to the Greenway and the Olympic Park. Circuit of the Park then exit to a coffee Stop at the ViewTube. Follow the Lee Valley route past Three Mills and probably looking in on Cody Dock. More Lee Path then through the Isle of Dogs. Stop at Mudchute DLR for riders who wish to avoid carrying bikes up and down the stairs at the Foot Tunnel (currently no lifts working). Exit from DLR is easiest at Greenwich station, then ride back to Cutty Sark to meet riders who have used the tunnel. Philippa leading. This route last ridden Oct 20th 2018, see report http://healthyrider.weebly.com/healthy-ride-reports-oct-dec-2018.html

    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
    • One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.
    • No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
    • Yes, but I want to know where he stands on all this stuff now. My feeling is it won't be any different from Labour?
