*WANTED* - garden toys for nursery to replace stolen ones

Hi.

Last week the nursery where I work had toys stolen from the garden.

3 red and black bikes, and a large fire engine and ambulance.

Does anyone have and would be willing to donate any toys for 2-4 year olds such as sturdy bikes that can be ridden with pedals, and/or any other large wheeled toys such as cars, first responder vehicles and buggies?

I would appreciate it so much and I?m sure the nursery as a whole would too.

When we set up the garden it looks really bare.

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help.

Helen

You stated in previous posts about nurseries being a business, & your children deserving the best......

As bad as it is what has happened, do you not think you should buy new especially due to health & safety & also I'm sure parents pay extortionate prices for childcare?

    • Crofton Park (borough of Lewisham) has a community notice board which as well as listing councillors is full of notices about local community activities of all sorts and for all ages. It is clean and tidy and only has one small fly poster (attached with one very small piece of tape, and easily removed - I didn't though). Crofton Park also has a lovely little community garden alongside the station, full of flowers, with lots of things of interest to kids,  and also obviously lovingly maintained. I don't know who the land belongs to - possibly the station, though access is via the adjoining road. If Lewisham council/Crofton Park residents can maintain a community notice board, why can't Southwark Council/East Dulwich residents?
