Plumbing a dishwasher

We're thinking of getting a dishwasher - please could someone give me an idea of how much they cost to plumb in?

We currently rent, but long term and the next time we move will probably be to buy - so if the plumbing cost is really high we'll wait.

Personally, its difficult to give you an idea via this message board, as it depends on distance, location, materials required, and time it will take to carry out.
