New family from SF looking for nanny

Hi Everyone, Our family of 5 just relocated from San Francisco to Dulwich. We are really excited to be here! We have 3 kids (5/7-yr-old boys & 1-yr-old girl) and are looking for a regular nanny to help us for 30-40 hours a week. This would be someone to help pick up the kids from school, prep dinner, and keep the house tidy. My husband will be working from home in the evenings, doing a lot of SF hours for his work. And I will be doing the same, but part-time.

Does anyone have a nanny to recommend, esp someone who is engaging with kids and helpful in keeping the house tidy?

Or can you share ideas on how I can go about finding someone to help?

I'm excited to join this forum and 5 days in to our move, we are loving our Dulwich experience. Thanks so much! Yang-Yang

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
