> Ground for outdoors, floor for indoors...

Just so, though you can have, for example "forest floor". I think it depends on there being some kind of ceiling or roof, as there is in forests. Or would just walls do too?

[ETA] OTOH, if you were alone in the forest and inadvertently dropped your peanut butter sandwich, it's probably the ground it's going to end up on.

If a peanut butter sandwich falls to the ground in a forest and there's no-one there to hear it, does it make a sound ?

Bit of a chicken and egg dilemma there as how did the peanut butter sandwich fall in the first place (or get there) if there's no one there to hear it fall 🤔

    • If you can use it exclusively for yourself for 12 years it might become yours by default under squatters rights? Maybe whack a bench on it and plant some flowers and then a little hedge around the perimeter to keep people out? I'm not sure if any of this is legal but it might be fun finding out?

    • Hello. Did you hear any further on this? Was there anyone at the council who was helpful to speak to? I am in a similar boat.
    • Dear all, Bit of a random ask but in such a supportive and accepting community, I thought I'd see if anyone had time to help 🙂 I'm conducting research for my MSc Psychology dissertation, using a brief anonymous survey to explore romantic and polyamorous relationships and how/if attitudes around this interact with factors such a family history and family making. The survey should take no longer than 10-15 mins and has been approved by the University of Roehampton. I'm hoping to circulate the survey widely enough that the data gathered is representational of the diversity in modern society across various aspects that constitutes personal identity. Some of the questions are of a personal nature and others could be considered a bit 'spicy', but just to reiterate, this is an anonymous survey.
