Morning

I would like to upvote this recommendation having had a super experience with Patrik last Friday. Very friendly and professional, Patrik undertook a thorough boiler check for us.

Couldn't recommend more highly. You can book Patrik's services on gasify.co.uk or call him on 07503457496.

Patrik came to our rescue after our boiler went down recently. He went out of his way to fit us into his already busy schedule at a short notice. We will definitely be recommending him to any others who need help with their boiler locally.

I also highly recommend Patrik from Gasify. He fitted a gas hob for me this morning. He confirmed the appointment by email, he turned up on time, he was friendly and knowledgeable and very efficient. He charged the rate he quoted and even gave me advice on another couple of plumbing matters.

I would add another recommendation for Patrik at Gasify, who replaced all our radiators, power-flushed our system, and replaced our indirect unvented cylinder (amongst other things over the last few months).

Patrik is pleasant, knowledgeable, reliable and I have full confidence in him and his abilities after this experience. It is refreshing to deal with a gas engineer that doesn't over-complicate things, explains what he is doing and why, is open to challenge and listens to feedback. Last but not least, his prices are competitive (not the cheapest nor the most expensive) and he doesn't charge VAT at the time of writing.

I have no hesitation in recommending Patrik (Gasify).

I’d like to add to the many positive reviews for Patrik at Gasify. He gave my boiler its annual service today. He is professional, thorough, and very pleasant. I found it easy to book an appointment through Gasify.co.uk. An excellent and reasonably priced service. Five stars.

Really recommend Patrik. He came over to check our boiler after our carbon monoxide alarm went off and was so knowledgeable that he also came back to install a smart thermostat for us. Very trustworthy and reliable. Will be using him for any boiler or gas related jobs in the future.

Patrik helped us out on very short notice when we had been let down by someone else. He was polite, professional and helpful. We would definitely use him again and would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Patrik carried out my boiler service on 17 Feb 2023 and I was very pleased with his work. He arrived promptly and worked efficiently. He serviced my boiler extremely comprehensively (much more so than I've seen other technicians do it) - taking out and cleaning all the internal components and giving me good advice about not needing to replace my boiler any time soon (as I'd thought might be needed) as long as I kept it well maintained. I'd recommend his services without hesitation. - Tom, Telegraph Hill, SE14

We would love to share big news!

We are very pleased with a recent achievement! Gasify has been chosen as the company from within all the candidates representing London in a national gas safety campaign.

Strong recommendation for Patrik from Gasify (@Gasify) - very good communication, charges fairly and really persevered until the job was complete. Replacing my elderly parents oven was my Everest and without Patrik I wouldn’t have reached the summit.

10/10 - Patrik from Gasify was fantastic.

Our underfloor heating packed up on Friday. I found Gasify on here at 9.30am today, and by 4pm today the issue was resolved (a faulty valve needed to be replaced).

Another recommendation for Patrik from Gasify. He came round on Friday morning as arranged and disconnected my cooker (for a house move), capped off the supply and checked the gas meter. Really pleased with his work and would use this company again if needed.

    • These have reduced over the years, are "perfect" lives Round Robins being replaced by "perfect" lives Instagram posts where we see all year round how people portray their perfect lives ?    The point of this thread is that for the last few years, due to issues at the mail offices, we had delays to post over Christmas. Not really been flagged as an issue this year but I am still betting on the odd card, posted well before Christmas, arriving late January.
    • Two subjects here.  Xmas cards,  We receive and send less of them.  One reason is that the cost of postage - although interestingly not as much as I thought say compared to 10 years ago (a little more than inflation).  Fun fact when inflation was double digits in the 70s cost of postage almost doubled in one year.  Postage is not a good indication of general inflation fluctuating a fair bit.  The huge rise in international postage that for a 20g Christmas card to Europe (no longer a 20g price, now have to do up to 100g), or a cheapskate 10g card to the 'States (again have to go up to the 100g price) , both around a quid in 2015, and now has more than doubled in real terms.  Cards exchanged with the US last year were arriving in the New Year.  Funnily enough they came much quicker this year.  So all my cards abroad were by email this year. The other reason we send less cards is that it was once a good opportunity to keep in touch with news.  I still personalise many cards with a news and for some a letter, and am a bit grumpy when I get a single line back,  Or worse a round robin about their perfect lives and families.  But most of us now communicate I expect primarily by WhatApp, email, FB etc.  No need for lightweight airmail envelope and paper in one.    The other subject is the mail as a whole. Privitisation appears to have done it no favours and the opening up of competition with restrictions on competing for parcel post with the new entrants.  Clearly unless you do special delivery there is a good chance that first class will not be delivered in a day as was expected in the past.   Should we have kept a public owned service subsidised by the tax payer?  You could also question how much lead on innovation was lost following the hiving off of the national telecommunications and mail network.
    • Why have I got a feeling there was also a connection with the beehive in Brixton on that road next to the gym
    • Ah, thanks,  it all comes flooding back. I've actually been to the Hastings shop, I'd forgotten all about it, along with her name! Didn't she (in between?)  take over what  was then The Magnolia, previously The Magdala, now The Lordship, with her then partner? Or is that some figment of my imagination?  In fact, didn't they transform it from The Magdala (much missed) to The Magnolia? With flowery wallpaper covering the front of the bar? Which reminds me of the pub's brief period after The Magnolia  as the ill-conceived and ill-fated The Patch.
