They said not to go down there and to ring the crime management team in the morning by which time we know that the property will either have been sold or disposed of.

The footage only shows him walking down the road wearing a hoodie and carrying the rucksack, you cannot see his face but it is clear which house he went into. It is a multi household property.

My son did speak to one of the occupants who wasn?t the nicest of people.

I think the address you are talking about is a halfway house for alcoholics and drug abusers ... dont want to judge but probably alot of the crime in the area may result in some of the occupants on there ie burglaries car break ins etc.... it's also a disgrace that the plod wont come to deal with certain crimes in my book a crime is a crime no matter how small it is....

Yes, that?s the one.

Police have been updated but doesn?t seem to be much they can do.

I remember years ago we had a beat officer called Bruce. If he was still around, he?s come in, have a cup of tea and then say ?Let?s go and sort this out?

Things have changed eh?

Thank you, I have emailed her.

All they have said is that we are not to go there and they will investigate. Very frustrating and disappointing. Feeling very let down.

We have 2 sets of cctv with indisputable evidence but no signs of police assistance.

There must be support workers attached to this place. I?d like to find out who oversees it.

And yes, it makes you want to take matters into your own hands.

I wonder if they had stolen from a police officer or their family the protocol would be the same?

So these people are above the law

they can do what they like?

I realise the police are over stretched, and when they do catch criminals, sentences are a joke.

But they could at least go through the motions of visiting said house

it is disgusting.

No thanks kidkruger; too many completely innocent people have been brutally murdered- usually on communal grounds. Very poor taste. A horrible incident just happened this week. Not even the weak and elderly spared. We don?t want that sort of thing here.

Further update to say that some of the keys were found close to the junction of Henslowe and Underhill Road. They had been thrown into a bush! If you could check your front gardens for keys, a charger or small tools we would be grateful, thank you!

And a huge thank you to the person who found them!

    • The current wave of xenophobia is due to powerful/influential people stirring up hatred.  It;'s what happened in the past, think 1930s Germany.  It seems to be even easier now as so many get their information from social media, whether it is right or wrong.  The media seeking so called balance will bring some nutter on, they don't then bring a nutter on to counteract that. They now seem to turn to Reform at the first opportunity. So your life is 'shite', let;s blame someone else.  Whilst sounding a bit like a Tory, taking some ownership/personal responsibility would be a start.  There are some situations where that may be more challenging, in deindustrialised 'left behind' wasteland we can't all get on our bikes and find work.  But I loathe how it is now popular to blame those of us from relatively modest backgrounds, like me, who did see education and knowledge as a way to self improve. Now we are seen by some as smug liberals......
    • Kwik Fit buggered up an A/C leak diagnosis for me (saying there wasn't one, when there was) and sold a regas. The vehicle had to be taken to an A/C specialist for condensor replacement and a further regas. Not impressed.
    • Yes, these are all good points. I agree with you, that division has led us down dangerous paths in the past. And I deplore any kind of racism (as I think you probably know).  But I feel that a lot of the current wave of xenophobia we're witnessing is actually more about a general malaise and discontent. I know non-white people around here who are surprisingly vocal about immigrants - legal or otherwise. I think this feeling transcends skin colour for a lot of people and isn't as simple as, say, the Jew hatred of the 1930s or the Irish and Black racism that we saw laterally. I think people feel ignored and looked down upon.  What you don't realise, Sephiroth, is that I actually agree with a lot of what you're saying. I just think that looking down on people because of their voting history and opinions is self-defeating. And that's where Labour's getting it wrong and Reform is reaping the rewards.
