How do the Clothing Parties work?

Girls love clothes, and so K&K clothing parties are great for those special occasions such as Birthdays, Hen parties or just a great night in with friends. Whatever evening its for clothing and bubbles and great company make for a special evening. These are lovely social events which can be held in the comfort of your own home or at carefully selected venues. The hostess (you) would normally invite between 5 and 15 people where you are then in a unique position to browse the fantastic clothes whilst catching up with friends over a glass of bubbles (which K&K provide upon arrival).

Is the hostess responsible for selling any of the clothing on the night?

Absolutely not - you are there to enjoy the evening and have as much fun as possible. We supply all the clothing, clothes rails and you can then relax and peruse the collection in your own time. The clothes rails are normally set up in either a Lounge or Dining room ( or wherever you are happiest for this to be done) We are on hand to answer any questions and give styling advise. Once the party is over we will clear everything up and takeaway any unwanted rubbish.

Is there a charge to host a party?

We do not charge to host a party, the only cost on the evening is if you decide to purchase anything. Please note that you and your guests are under no obligation to purchase anything from K&K. The hostess will receive a personal 30% discount on her purchases.

How do you know what type of clothing to bring and what sizes?

Prior to a party a questionnaire will be sent to all attending asking them for some basic information - size, what style of clothing they like, is there anything in particular they are looking for. From this we will then put together range to cater for everyone's needs.

    • We've got a Victorian coal hole cellar with a mud floor and after a couple of severe water leaks, I've taken more of an interest in the state of the dampness.  I've been running a dehumidifier for the past couple of weeks following a small water pipe leak and whilst most of the floor is now bone dry, there are damp patches along most of the wall adjoining the next house, a large damp patch in the middle of the floor that will not dry even with the dehumidifier right next to it and a patch of wet mud in a small hollow in the middle of the cellar.  An expert that lent us industrial drying equipment following a flood from a burst mains pipe said there will always be damp, but I'm a bit concerned in case there is a fundamental problem - any ideas from anyone with similar?

    • Yeah, it did work out in the end, but it was way more stressful and expensive than it needed to be. He lost money. He had higher offers early on, but those buyers pulled out because of all the delays. On top of that, he spent a fortune on legal fees trying to get the neighbour to sign off on the freehold transfer. It dragged on for ages. In the end, he was lucky the final buyer stuck with it, but the price was lower, and the whole thing left a bad taste. A lesson learned. Share of freehold can be a real nightmare if the other owners aren’t cooperative. You’ve got to be 100 per cent sure everyone’s reasonable, otherwise it’s just not worth the hassle.
