We are about to sell our trusty Nissan Leaf but before I go down the normal channels I thought I'd just put some feelers out there locally. We love it and are replacing it with a brand new one with a bigger battery.

This is the old shape 2017 ( 67 plate) model (one of the last produced), the Acenta (mid level) trim in Black

It's a 24kWH model so expect around 80 miles out of it on a full charge (depending on how it's used and the temperature). We have primarily used it as a local run-around and as such it's only done 13,000 miles. It's been an ideally second car for us.

For those who don't know the car it's about the size of a Focus or Golf.

We had it on a PCP from new and bought it at the end of the term outright.

-Full service history from a Nissan main dealer- Apart from normal consumable items it hardly needs any parts, other than general checks. a typical full service isn't much more than ?100 a year

-Dead cheap to run (costs less then ?5 top charge it up from empty)

-A grant is available from the government that will cover ?350 of the cost of installing a dedicated charge point, but you can charge it from a 3pin socket. All the leads are supplied with it (just not the fast home charge unit)

-Built in the UK (Sunderland)

If you are thinking of buying an electric car then this could be a relatively inexpensive way in. Driving it is super simple and actually very enjoyable.

There are a few minor scratches, nothing huge, but it will get a full valet and polish before it leaves us.

We are looking for offers close to ?10K - this is a good price as you are looking at this price for a car that has done 3x the miles and is 2 years older from a main dealer.

if you are interested then PM me. Looking to do a deal by the end of this month ( when our new car will be ready)

    • One of the issues is that under this government, the so called black hole of £20 billion has, according to some, risen to £50 billion. Which will result in even more taxes. I was always taught to cut my coat according to my cloth, which would in an ideal world mean having to halt or stop projects or services until the deficit is down to a manageable level. Increasing taxes has a limit (the Laffer Curve https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laffer_curve)  and also damages the economy and the publics ability to spend.  If Labour want to turn things around they are going to have to face some uncomfortable decisions on where to cut their ambition.
    • "Country before Party" is Starmer's motto. Lucy Powell, Burnham and other senior cabinet ministers briefing against Starmer, describing the situation as 'terminal', and publicly condemning him is not putting the country first. They'll be no better than the Tories if they enforce on us a new PM and the political dissatisfaction of the electorate will explode.  Labour needs to get its house in order, but there are too many factions and, just like the Tories at the end, it doesn't know what it is anymore. I think the situation is unsolvable.
    • I saw that too but it was already sold unfortunately -  so if anyone else has one they’re not using I’m still interested! Thanks!
