Hi there

We are Rachael and Paul. We have 3 children: 2 boys aged 2.5yrs and 3yrs (turning 4 in October) and a newborn girl who just joined us this September!

We are seeking an adventurous, creative and energetic after-school Nanny / Manny / Mother's Help to support with the following:

CORE ROLE:

- After school pick up for our two boys from two schools (Dulwich Prep and Oakfield) based in West Dulwich - the schools are 5 mins walk from each other

- Post school pick up, we'd like you to take the boys to the park/playground (weather permitting) - there is a park just by their school called Belair Park.

- We'd like you to take the boys back to our house for further play - we live by Queen's Road Peckham Station. You can drive or take public transport. There is a P13 bus (which goes door to door from the school to our house) or you can take the train from Tulse Hill station (which is about 15mins walk from the schools) to our local station, Queen's Road Peckham (about 4 mins walk to our house)

- We'd like you to prepare and give the boys a healthy tea/dinner at home

- Position is for 3 days per week - these days are flexible based on what works for all parties

- Bathtime

- Hours needed - 3-6pm = 9 hours a week minimum and guaranteed

- Flexibility of hours is ideal - i.e. increasing over school holidays or for more days per week / baby sitting. Approx one later evening per week

- Live out position

We are not looking for help with my newborn. Our hope is that the extra pair of hands with the older boys gives me the time and energy needed for the new baby!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- Someone who has high energy levels for the two boys. Is fun, creative, warm and loving but can set boundaries as well. Our kids are independent-minded. We need someone who can guide children using creativity and charisma.

- Person with their own car is ideal but not essential. You can take public transport between the school and our home

- DBS check ideal - if not, then references needed

Please get in contact if this interests you.

You're welcome to give us a call as well on 07885 265 252

Thanks

Rachael

    • When I had a property with a basement there would often be a pool of water in the centre. I was told it was related to the fluctuating height of the water table in the area (se22) and would not become a problem and the only way to get rid of it would be to get the whole place completely tanked.
    • We've got a Victorian coal hole cellar with a mud floor and after a couple of severe water leaks, I've taken more of an interest in the state of the dampness.  I've been running a dehumidifier for the past couple of weeks following a small water pipe leak and whilst most of the floor is now bone dry, there are damp patches along most of the wall adjoining the next house, a large damp patch in the middle of the floor that will not dry even with the dehumidifier right next to it and a patch of wet mud in a small hollow in the middle of the cellar.  An expert that lent us industrial drying equipment following a flood from a burst mains pipe said there will always be damp, but I'm a bit concerned in case there is a fundamental problem - any ideas from anyone with similar?
