CuppaT
If anyone has a remote control from the older style Virgin Media Tivo box they are no longer using I'd be most grateful. My son decided ours needed a bath an now only a few buttons work.I've attached a pic of the remote type I need so as not to be confused with the very similar looking later model. Many thanks! marctt
Hi, try opening up the remote and remove the rubber buttons insert and dry the circuit board and rubber insert with some kitchen towel / hairdryer and then re-assemble it and that should fix it.Worked for usHope this helps Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/296669-virgin-media-tivo-box-remote/#findComment-1545416 Share on other sites
CuppaT
Hiya, things got a little destructive when I initially tried this at the time so didn't attempt to open further. Just had another go as suggested as nothing to loose and gave it all a clean up, unfortunately it's still the same. Not sure how long it was submerged for so must have damaged one of the components inside. Thanks for the suggestion anyway :)marctt Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Hi, try opening up the remote and remove the> rubber buttons insert and dry the circuit board> and rubber insert with some kitchen towel /> hairdryer and then re-assemble it and that should> fix it.> > Worked for us> > Hope this helps Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/296669-virgin-media-tivo-box-remote/#findComment-1545620 Share on other sites
