Just a warning if you were thinking og getting a home delivery from Sainsburys- we have just received about a third of items we ordered with no email to explain what was unavailable. Customer service has no record that we did not receive these items. They had already billed us for the wrong amount 2 days before the delivery was made - complete cockup. We now have to email proof they have deducted payment as they are saying it was a different amount (still wrong) & was only deducted today! It?s taken over 2 hours to tey & sort it so far & now we have to email details to another dept & wait . Fortunately our delivery driver was very nice & made a note of what was missing, but what a waste of time & a delivery charge!

If anyone else has had similar problems I?d be interested to know if / how they were resolved.

Had similar with Tesco, customer service absolutely useless, I checked a website called CEO email addressees and went straight to the top. Got a personal call from the CEO PA

    • So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
    • Oh I didn't realised Starmer had used the word. I don't mean they are stirring up division between themselves (ie between Reform and Greens), I mean they are stoking division within communities, and stirring up racial prejudice and religious discrimination. That is sectarianism, in my view.
    • Just to repeat the news I was given – it's not being converted into a pub. As far as I know, there's no intention of dumbing down their restaurant offering.  Although as others have pointed out, Camberwell has two pubs – The Camberwell Arms and now the Michelin-starred Kerfield Arms – with excellent food. The Palmerston used to be the only pub in ED that was of such quality, but sadly no longer IMHO.
    • The country is in a real state.  What worries me about the Greens is encouraging migration and openly offering benefits to all with visas.  Where is the money for that coming from?  As if there is spare money, as if there is growth. Where I their holistic manifesto, ensuring funds are available and this is sustainable, and regulated? Incredibly dangerous and idealistic
