I would like to thank all those who helped me when my dad collapsed on Whateley road last Friday sadly after 60 mins of paramedics trying to save my dads life , his heart just wasn?t strong enough and he passed away. Thank you Anna who was a complete stranger yet took over and performed Chest compressions on my dad whilst on the phone to 999 operators. I would like to track down the lady who was out jogging her name I believe began with V ? She was incredible and ran to the Dulwich medical centre to get doctors and a defibrillator machine , if you?re reading this V please contact me via PM , thank you also to the gentleman who stopped to help with CPR huge thank you to all over passerbyers who offered help and of course the paramedics and police who were incredible. Xx
So very sorry for the loss of your dad misssee22. I have experienced someone close to me revived on the street through CPR and I know that it was extremely rare (something like 5% of patients make it through) and he was so lucky on that day. How lovely that people nearby tried their very best to help your Dad and I am sure they will feel his loss enormously. My sincere condolences.

    • In deed.   An hour is optimistic. I'd always use the train/tube, so many options from the slowish Picadilly, quick Heathrow Express and Lizzy line in the middle. In the old days I'd go out to Feltham via Clapham Junction and either get a cab from there or the bus to avoid central London Alternatively 3 hours by bus only Or a couple of hours by bike, I have cycled there a few times including illegally going through the tunnel as it is so bike unfriendly.
