I bought an ergo carrier on eBay 8 months months ago that turned out to be fake! I have managed to get my money back luckily but watch out for the signs and only buy off authorised websites! The ergo baby wedsite has a list of sellers Mine had started to fall apart after only 8 months of light use so I took A closer look and sure enough it was fake! I damn good one! The things I noticed was no seperate seem to join the shoulder straps, the hood was smaller, the writing on the warning sticker was slightly wonky. The ergo logo on the hood was upside down, the elastic safety loops lost all their elasticity and the waist buckle didn't have a logo. I just bought a genuine one from Greenwich baby by the cutty sark and can't believe how much more comfortable the real one is.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
    • It's firework season now up until early Jan 2026. Starting with celebrating the failure of terrorist Guy Fawkes on November 5th! BOOM!
    • Get used to it! 'major incidents' are a regular occurrence these days! some ignored by mainstream media.
