There will be two but due to my dilatoriness, one is already full. The one that's not is this one:

It's a Greenwich-Blackheath circuit and the link to eventbrite is here:

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/canada-water-to-greenwich-park-and-blackheath-southwark-healthy-ride-tickets-211581013507

It's a typical easy-paced (10 miles in 2 hours) Southwark Cyclists Healthy Ride. Start/finish point will be Deal Porter Square, opposite Canada Water Station, SE16 7AR. Start time 10am and finish 12 noon. Route is: Thames path to Greenwich, into Greenwich Park, up the hill to the Observatory, circuit of Blackheath, and return through the Park to CW. Lots of off-road path, no busy roads. Several stops at places of interest. Really straightforward ride, lots traffic free, suitable for any level of cyclist.

Also on Sat 20th Nov we have a 3 hour ride already full (so I am told). The delay in publicising it here is my fault. When you register on Eventbrite, link details below, please give a phone number as it may be needed for Track and Trace. If you cannot make it, please cancel so that someone else can take the place.

Dulwich to Wimbledon Park

A ride through 5 of our South London parks and commons, full of Autumn colour. 15 miles. 10am ?1pm. Start/finish Dulwich Clock Caf?, Dulwich Park SE21 7BQ. Route: Dulwich Park via Brockwell Park, Clapham Common, Wandsworth Common to Wimbledon Park. Return same route. Mostly quiet streets, occasional busy junction, lots of easily cycled paths in the parks and on the commons. Coffee stop in Wimbledon Park.

These rides are organised by Southwark Cyclists and are part of a regular programme of Saturday rides, more information at [southwarkcyclists.org.uk]. Southwark Cyclists are part of the London Cycling Campaign. This ride is organised by volunteers. If you have any feedback, good or bad, please get in touch with [email protected]. • Hello:  Can anyone recommend a football club where girls age 7 years old can play?   Ideally in SE21 / SE22.  Thanks,
    • That's not what I said and you know it.
    • I disagree, it was pretty filthy back then, plus the issues that Southwark have had were the ones left by EA.
    • I've been cycling in London for decades. The two times a vehicle knocked me off my bicycle, were in conditions that were well lit (one was daylight) and the night time one was just me and the vehicle on the road. Both the driver's fault. The point it that most drivers are perfectly capable of seeing a bicycle in most conditions, just as they are capable of seeing a child or dog run out in front of them. Who knows why a small percentage are incapable of doing that, but gaslighting the victim is not the answer. Are there wreckless cyclists? Sure. Just as there are reckless drivers and pedestrians. But it's worth remembering that millions of roads users navigate their journeys perfectly safely every day. As a driver, you are taught to check your mirrors regularly (not just when considering an manoevre), and the first rule of the Highway Code, is to always avoid an accident if you can. My attitude when using the roads it to always expect someone to do something stupid/ wreckless. I look for it. That is the best way of avoiding any accident, no matter what form of transport you use.
