Don't know when selection process will be.

It's possible the constituency will be redrawn. I think the plan was to just have a 'Peckham' constituency, with Camberwell being reallocated somewhere, and parts of the constituency also moving to the Dulwich constituency.

Not in Labour - imo, Starmer is Tweedledum to Boris?s Tweedledee, agreeing with and supporting the Govt line on almost everything. As someone has commented elsewhere, the Govt has removed my right to protest, threatened to take my citizenship away, given the security forces immunity from prosecution, is working to privatise the NHS, has allowed 150,000 to die but Starmer has said not a tweet on these matters and given his backing to most policies. However he does tweet about the office party as if that really is the thing to be upset about! And also there?s fulsome congratulations on Boris?s further contribution to the overpopulation problem. Readying himself to be the safe, continuity sock- puppet. That the CLP has people who oppose this sorry state of not ?moderate? but right wing drift is surely a good balance. Richard Burgeon or John McDonnell are on that side of politics too but no, it?s the young Asian woman who is picked on - why? She seems to doing a good job of challenging the Government unlike her Leader.

Because Burgon's selection process was in 2015 and McDonnell's was in the Jurassic era?

    • I'd be tempted to put up some sort of fence  to delineate the area and see what happens. Probably nothing.
    • Poundland have been there just over two years.
    • Has anybody here bought some land from the council to become part of their garden? There are helpful guidelines on the Southwark website here including a PDF with associated costs, however the "valuation" element has absolutely no guidelines. It could be £500 or £50,000. You will already have spent £1000 on the process before finding out what they will charge you for the land - which would certainly be frustrating if it's not affordable for you. The land in question is a tiny patch immediately attached to the front of my property, approx 4 meters wide x 1 meter long. Would like to put a fence there to separate from the pavement and allow some privacy, keep the bins more tidy. The land is of no value to anybody else and is neglected currently - the council seems to have to stopped maintaining this area between the pavement and the houses on our street.
