My friend, who is a fellow flautist and conducts a group that I am a member of, is starting a new group for young flautists in the area. As it will be held in Dulwich, I thought it would be of interest to some of you with budding young flautists in the house.

At this stage it will either be a weekday after school, or a Saturday morning - this depends on what interested people thinks will work best.

Here's what she says...

Dulwich Flute Group

Starting after Easter: a new flute?ensemble for young flautists who want to play a variety of fun music with other musicians. For players under 19 years of age and of grade 3 standard and above. A weekly?session (term-time only) of approximately an hour and a quarter?in East Dulwich, led by Sharon Moloney (Musical Director of Opal Flutes). For more information please e-mail [email protected].

    • uninsured, not to worry just walk away and someone else will deal with it....
    • They’ve backed away from pretending they produce their own goods recently. That claim sat at the centre of the misdirection for years. They’ve now accepted they can’t sustain it, so they’re beginning to highlight the local independent bakeries whose products they actually sell. The business is essentially a courier model running on a slim margin.
    • Another sparrow hawk visor to our cherry tree at the weekend.  Our robin survived, but we may be a sparrow down.     any thoughts on bird feeders & bird baths with the current bird flu?  I try to wash out the bird bath most days when at home, but not on the 3 days in a row that I’m in the office & the bird feeders rather less regularly. Would it be better not to have at all (as my partner thinks)?
    • OOOPS. My daughter just had to pay a five pound fine. I hadn't put a stamp on it. I remember wondering whether to use a  first or second class stamp,  and clearly when I posted it I still hadn't decided (but sadly didn't notice). I feel really bad for suspecting a postie might have  opened it.  Sorry posties.
