Hi everyone!

I am a 26 year old Nanny living in Lewisham/Blackheath looking for a lovely family needing help anytime on Mondays - Wednesdays. I also work with a gorgeous 2 year old Monday and Tuesday & both I and her family are more than happy to discuss nanny share options if your family are looking for more days a week.

A bit about me: I have over 5 years of experience in childcare, grew up in South-East London so know lots about the area- and am confident working with and catering for the many physical and emotional needs of young babies as well as children of all ages. I've worked as a nanny and live-in Au Pair; in London, France, as well as teaching English in Italy. More recently I worked as a nanny for two families, with 2 babies- 1.5 years old. Am happy to provide references. I love being silly and getting creative with kids, doing lots of art, storytelling, trips to the park, singing etc.

I am fully DBS checked, and have my paediatric first aid certificate. I am musically trained, have got my Grade 8 and Grade 6 on piano and trumpet, & write & perform music on the side, and enjoy incorporating music into my care duties in whatever way you see fit, as I strongly believe that music is a brilliant tool for life, and a way of creatively enhancing the worlds of children of all ages, and their development as human beings.

I am available of course for ad hoc babysits, and would be happy to start as early as mid-sept 2021.

Please feel free to contact me on here, or via email/phone to meet in person for a CV or referees; my email is [email protected] and my telephone number is 07535784764 if you require any further information.

Best wishes & hope to hear from you soon,

Bridget

    • Well worth a read   https://manchestermill.co.uk/the-men-who-raised-the-flags/
    • If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
    • Ohh dear.  Fireworks can be great fun.  Where I used to live the kids would have firework wars/games.  Watching them was more enjoyable than watching  TV. (Which you could hardly hear due to the pops and bangs).  It's not like anyone/anything could stop them. I would still prefer organised public displays that are affordable.   And I agree that fireworks cause problems for wild life, pets and people.   It seems to be one of those things that just happens so we have to put up with it.  But it is still not as problematic here as in other areas in London - that's for sure.
    • I made sure to set off a few today just to rile you guys up 😇😂 Always looking for something to criticise
