I don't know anybody called John Smith, apart from the famous ones!

I know a load of Sues, though!

Well a quick skim of the report suggests a massive anti-climax....no matter what your view on the PM and the goverenment....

9 pages of non-committall language and vague platitudes, which basically dont tell us anything we didnt already know....

Tory MP's should stop p!ssing about and get these letters into the 1922 committee....the damage being done as a result of government just drifting along, with a few hasilty thought out populist policies thrown in to divert attention is well beyond a joke now...

According to the report's Terms of Reference it was never going to be blockbuster stuff, but it was more critical than I expected e.g. ''the failure of leadership''. Don't forget, it was also heavily redacted, this is just an ''update''.

Starmer hasn't been the greatest LOTO, but his speech in the Commons was very good, and that will strike more of a chord with the public and the sacrifices we made. Lordy knows what Johnson was thinking of when he brought up Saville.

This is not going to go away and no amount of running-off to the Ukraine or hiding in fridges is going to detract from that, especially as we now know there definitely was a party in the No. 10 flat, which the Met are investigating.

Oh, and the small matter of 300+ photos in their files...

"Well a quick skim of the report suggests a massive anti-climax....no matter what your view on the PM and the goverenment."

the fact he publicly used a far-right Saville smear against KS and accused the opposition benches of being junkies suggests he is more riled than anti-climactic

Ah! I had forgotten!

Is this meant for me? I've never voted for party that includes Boris Johnson amongst its leaders

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
    • That is also a Young's pub, like The Cherry Tree. However fantastic the menu looks, you might want to ask exactly who will cook the food on the day, and how. Also, if  there is Christmas pudding on the menu, you might want to ask how that will be cooked, and whether it will look and/or taste anything like the Christmas puddings you have had in the past.
