Hi Sally.

I agree any homeless charity is a good cause, the problem with most organisations they are asking for a minimum i.e mungo is ?25 and there is a form to complete. GoFundMe is a minimum of ?5 that?s less than a pint on Lordship Lane and cheaper than a chicken Chow Mein.

But yes please donate to any homeless charity it will make someone happy

I don't think there is a minimum. They suggest a figure.

Centrepoint suggest ?18 for instance but you can change it. I put in ?5 and that was accepted without resistance. St Mungo's says "Enter your own amount".

I agree there is no amount on your GoFund me page. OTOH it is for a named individual.

There is a form on the Centrepoint donation page but it is your (the donor's) name and address.

Hi Sally.

You are correct my GoFundMe is for a named individual as it is not set out for a certain homeless charity it will be given to hotel or B&B where the homeless person will receive the details in order to check in and have a warm meal, shower and a meal.

If anyone is in any doubt then they can see the process that I aiming to do and then possibly verify my genuine act of kindness, and Sally I am happy for this to be you.

Thank you for understanding and concerns as I am sure there are many people out there trying to make a quick buck. As mentioned in my first reply any homeless charity to me is a well worthy one. If you have donated through another organisation I thank you.

I just feel that most organisations do not give 100% of donations it?s received as they have staff to pay for, rented office space, marketing, phone bills etc. For every ?5 donated I truly believe that only ?1 if that is given to the Intended cause (I may be wrong)

If half the people that read the advert had donated, we could have put 40 homeless people in a hotel room last night as well as gave them something to eat. ?5 is it a lot of money to us but to those in need is a lot. Please don?t just read and ignite, click the link and donate ?5 we can all make a difference for a small fee. Thank you

You can't just donate ?5 and suddenly the problem is all sorted. You need to look at others things you can do practical support, campaigning, political activities etc. This is all far too simplistic. My charitable work is for other causes. You could say equally valid. I've friends who volunteer for food banks; much respect
Hi, I am not saying that by donating ?5 will simply solve the issue, I am saying that it is a start. My campaign starts here with the people of Dulwich and surrounding areas. If I can get established for doing good deeds then then I can step it up a gear and try to obtain more help from others. I am happy to take suggestions and get help in this matter. If anyone would like to help please PM me and we start looking at the bigger picture.

    • It has come to this author’s attention that the world of 4+ admissions — that most enigmatic of educational rites — continues to bewilder even the most composed of parents. Fear not. For in a former life, I was not merely a humble observer, but a seasoned educator of over twenty years, and Head of Pre-Prep for a distinguished dozen. Now, with quill exchanged for touchscreen, I have taken to that most modern of salons — Instagram — to dispense guidance, answer frequently whispered questions, and illuminate the shadowy corners of school selection with clarity and calm. Each post bears my signature twist: a blend of insight, levity, and the occasional raised eyebrow. Should you find yourself adrift in the sea of admissions, I suggest you peruse my latest dispatch. • Perhaps Gooseygreeny was not familiar with the wildlife before Gala was imposed on the park, since when its value to wildlife has deteriorated. The Park had never been disturbed before, as the council had respected it as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, so only the Common was licensed by them as a site for events. The first time Gala held their event, there was a tree with woodpeckers nesting in it right in the middle of the main field they used and thrushes, blackbirds and great tits nesting within the shrubs and trees immediately surrounding the field. The woodpeckers were thriving on ants from the anthills in the grass. To those of us who used to enjoy watching the wildlife, it was very obviously a Site of Importance for a variety of birds. Despite being accessed by the public and their dogs, it had been relatively undisturbed,  which was one of the main reasons why it was so special and why I have been opposed to the Gala festival being held during the bird nesting season.
    • So dangerous!    Can you be more specific about the road this was in and when you report it?  Maybe there’s some CCTV footage available
    • Hi - I’m looking for bean bags, cushions, toys and games for our play therapist who works weekly with some of our children. Any donations like board games, cuddly toys, dolls houses, action figures, dolls, puppets, easel etc would be very welcome. For Rushey Green Primary School
