Gardening Courses - now taking bookings for March

Recommended Posts

Hello

We are about to launch a new School of Horticulture, offering local courses at all levels, and we're really keen to hear from any local gardeners or wannabe gardeners (beginners, amateur or professional) in our survey.

Survey link: https://londonschoolofhorticulture.co.uk/survey/

We live locally (SE24 and SE4) and we're starting in our home territory of SE London.

The aim is to teach classroom-based gardening and horticulture courses outside the traditional college environment, in friendly local settings, with duplicate/catch-up versions online. It's a new venture and we would really like to find out what local people who might be interested in gardening courses would be looking for and how we could most helpfully offer them what they need.

If you're interested in gardening and can help by filling in our questionnaire we'd be really pleased to hear from you and would reward you with 20% off your first short course any time in 2022, or a free seedling gift pack* if you can't make any of our courses.

We are still building our website which will include the full course schedule but you can watch our progress on the link below.

If you'd like a sneak preview ... so far we are planning our first workshops for March and they will be taking place in Herne Hill and Telegraph Hill, including the following:

1. Your Garden - understand and explore the potential of your own garden

2. Garden Design for Beginners - aiming to demystify the art of garden design and offer a few practical techniques

3. Introduction to Garden Plants - shrubs, trees, perennials, annuals, weeds, there are so many but you've got to start somewhere!

4. Seasonal Garden Care - Helping you work out what you should be doing in your garden in Spring!

Do forward this information to any gardening friends, local or further afield, and encourage them to do our survey. We're really interested to hear from anyone with an interest in gardening or horticulture, even if they're not local!

Happy to answer any questions here or there's a contact email on the homepage.

Thanks!

* Seedling packs are limited and will be delivered by us on bikes so first-come-first-served and local delivery only!

    • We would like your views on proposals to expand the Superloop network with new route SL15 between Clapham Junction and Eltham in south London. By clicking on each of the buttons below, you can read more about what is proposed and how this may impact you. You can also view maps, ask questions, give feedback, and find out about other ways to get in touch and take part. You have until Sunday 30 November 2025 to give us your feedback. Proposals The SL15 would run between Clapham Junction and Eltham stations, via Tulse Hill and Catford, and would primarily follow the A205 South Circular Road. The following map shows proposed new route SL15 in its entirety. Also see the 'Proposed timings and bus stops' section below. The SL15 would operate as an express bus service. It would serve a limited number of key bus stops, including eight rail interchanges, local town centres and other busy locations along its proposed route. As part of the Superloop family the SL15 service would be frequent, simple, inclusive and reliable. At Clapham Junction, the route would start and end at Falcon Road. In Eltham, it would start and end at Eltham Station after serving the High Street.   https://ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/ce32459998ce01d44ce27d1f23c543bd84338c82/original/1759936980/3bc1b1bf3ec42ce77542fa4ddd82c87a_sl15-bus-stop-list.pdf?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Credential=AKIA4KKNQAKIJHZMYNPA%2F20251020%2Feu-west-1%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20251020T144535Z&X-Amz-Expires=300&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=host&X-Amz-Signature=14b917ef1198ddc641578b5a6648b00842f4e1d51aceadb3f4e1c928d0688b12 https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/sl15-superloop

    • We’ve currently got the Three 5g WiFi router but it’s been consistently pretty bad for the last year, so we are looking to move to another provider. Does anyone have any recommendations for good WiFi in East Dulwich?    Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
