I strongly recommend Callow Locksmiths. They promptly and efficiently fixed a lock for me a few months ago. It stopped working again and they came round to fix it today and *refused* any further payment because they said they could have spotted the problem last time. Superb integrity - I was so impressed that they were so professional and so focused on customer service. I am customer for life now. Robert Craig

Just to add to this - I recently fell victim to (what I know now is) a well known locksmith scam. I needed an emergency locksmith, and the one that arrived (not Callow!) charged an extortionate amount for poor work.

I’ve used Callow before and trust them so I went to them for advice around how much I should have been charged. I spoke to Tom, who has been so helpful, providing quotes for how much I should have been charged and advising on whether the work was actually necessary or not (turns out it wasn’t…).

I’ll always use Callow in future!

    • A couple of updates to this terrible event:   1) In 2021, two cousins (one from Penge and one from Streatham) were convicted of murder and sentenced to a minimum of 23 years in prison. • The Commons Public Accounts Committee questioned both the CEO and MD of Capita yesterday, at their last meeting before the recess:  https://committees.parliament.uk/event/25889/formal-meeting-oral-evidence-session/.  In October they'd already expressed concern that Capita might not  be able to efficiently retake over responsibility for the administration within the timescale. Given the joint statement recently issued by Capita and the Cabinet Office I'm not sure that contacting an MP is going to add much, other than venting what I think most of us can probably appreciate of what those affected are likely  to be thinking and feeling; unless perhaps, and I hope it's not needed, to report on deficiencies in the immediate rescue actions.

    • Two for Ratcliffe, the obvious one:   And one simply because it has the word  "You are nothing but blind fascists" in it.  Oh and a good song too.   Haven't listened to this for years.  Bloody good!
